Hit Report: Connacht Sabs: Galway Blazers, East Galway Foxhounds

Galway Blazers, East Galway Foxhounds

Ardrahan, County Galway & Tynagh, County Galway.

Storm Dennis was in full flow yesterday, did it stop the scum going out trying to murder? No, it didn't.

We got multiple tip offs for these two hunts yesterday morning so off we went to stop them in their tracks. The Galway Blazers were due to have their "scumball" yesterday evening in Gort so we felt it was about time we visited them. We arrived at their meet in Ardrahan and immediately deployed sabs into the field. Anthony (huntsman) was seen from an adjacent field by foot sabs with a group of what must have been over 90 riders in the extreme weather conditions.

He briefly cast hounds to a wood, then proceeded to move on with his larger than usual field. Sabs moved up the road for pickup to move position, when a hunt supporter decided to play the whole blocking in our vehicle game. He stood infront of the landy, rang the Gardai claiming "they are here to burgle houses!".

He continued to commit a road traffic offense along with a silver corolla blocking us from behind. Next a green coat wearing Sherlock Holmes lookalike decided to take the air out from one of our tires (criminal damage). Finally to top off, our friendly neighborhood traffic stopper decided to throw himself to the floor in full humpty dumpty style antics! The Gardai arrived (over 5 squad cars), questioned both us and the hunt scum then we moved off.

At this point we again came across Anthony and the hounds crossing what we believe was a live railway line. It seemed a large amount of them were packing, likely heading off for their scumball. We then headed promptly to Tynagh to pay East Galway a visit. We had been tipped off they were in the Kylebrack region, however by the time we had got there they had already packed and were in the pub (after a maximum 2hrs hunting).

Unfortunately as our landy was illegally blocked for so long we could not keep up with them, however weather conditions would have favored wildlife so we hope they didn't kill anyone.

We crossed a serious amount of mileage yesterday, if you can support our efforts here is the link: https://ko-fi.com/huntsabsireland
