Hit report 14/09/19. Cub Hunting.

Galway Blazers, Carrigeen Co Galway.

Thanks to a tip off we were ready and waiting at the crack of dawn to follow the Blazers from the kennels in Craughwell to a woodland in Carrigeen. It was clear our immediate presence stifled the Hunt who seemed to be considering their options.

After the initial delay they eventually unloaded the hounds and moved on roadside to the woodland. We were straight on their heels and after some aggression from one of the riders we eventually caught up with the hounds amongst the dense vegetation of the woodland. We kept up with them for a short period until we eventually came out on a trail where Huntsman and some riders were in wait trying to gathered the hounds . More aggression followed both verbally and physically and many riders used their horse to try and bully sabs around.

We held our ground and eventually the hunt moved on again in search of a kill . We kept right on their heels throughout, delayed much of their hunting efforts and after just over the hour mark the frustrated hunt had packed up with no kills.

We followed the hound van to make sure they weren't off hunting elsewhere but became boxed in by two hunt support vehicles who's dangerous driving prevented us keeping in chase . Eventually we got back to the kennels to confirm that they had indeed packed up for the day .

No kills on the day and a lot of pissed off hunters. Please join us in the field or tip us off if you have any info on hunting in Ireland.
