Hit Report: Connacht x Munster Sabs hit Scarteen “Black and Tans”: 23-11-19
Scarteen Black and Tans Hunt, Hospital, Co Limerick, Éire.
We made the trip south to join comrades Munster Hunt Sabs yesterday who had located The Black and Tans Hunt in the town of Hospital yesterday. The Hunt was accompanied by an army of hunt supporters and a Garda presence. Earlier on a hunt vehicle rammed our vehicle off the road in the town of Croom inflicting severe damage to the vehicle.
To be clear: the police were there from the very beginning. They aided the hunt to evade us, spent about an hour and a half questioning some sabs on false accusations where there was no evidence and allowed the hunter leave in his vehicle masked up whilst pestering us to take off our masks. We do not work with the police because the police are not to be trusted. Ever. Garda had been called in anticipation of us but didn't seem too bothered with us once they knew what we were about.
Sabs immediately got out on foot following the fast-moving Hunt. Sabs were followed by Hunt supporters (who struggled to keep up) in an attempt to keep us well away from the hunt who was focused on picking up a scent. One fox was seen to safety by a group of Sabs and the scent was masked with citronella.
We lost sight of the Hunt who moved quickly across vast amounts of terrain in pursuit of a kill. Attempts to stay on the hunt were slowed down as we had to give information to the Garda about the ramming of our vehicle by a hunter in which our car was damaged.
Sabs moved on again in search of the hunt but unfortunately, they weren't found. We can not be sure if kills were made on the day but at least one fox was seen to safety by the sabs. Yesterday showed exactly how much the hunt wants to keep us away from their bloodsport.
We will continue to defend the Wild from Hunters. Wildlife is being obliterated at an alarming rate on the Island of Ireland.
Now more than ever we need to take a stand against this onslaught of our natural heritage.
