Hit Report: Irish Sabs prevent “festival” of hare murder in County Cork
Woodrock & Blackwater Beagles joined with English bumpkins Pipewell Beagles and Chillmark & Clinton Foot in County Cork.
After receiving a tip off from locals that the infamous "Woodrock Hare Murder Scumfest" was taking place we decided to make the trip down south to Castletownroache, County Cork.
Sabs arrived to see Irish and English scum having a chinwag outside the Castle Arms bar. About 16 vehicles left towards their chosen location for hare/rabbit killing with sabs behind.
Our landy was then boxed in by two English registered vehicles likely unaware that they actually had to follow the Irish road traffic act if they wanted to kill our hares. This caused a traffic backlog of about 20 vehicles down an Irish country road proving the hunt are a law unto themselves.
After some scuffles (one specific incident of a hunter wrestling one of our sabs trying to steal their camera) the Gardai arrived and spent 30 minutes questioning sabs whilst our vehicle was clearly illegally blocked in right in front of them. We left the area once the landy was unboxed, turned a corner then entered the field. The landy did a few circles and realized the hunt had actually left and gone back to the pub. A little more aggression front the intoxicated hunters (at 3pm in the day) and a bit of rabbit hole admiration ended our day in the best way possible.
English hunters or Irish hunters, if you come into our fields expect to be stopped.
