Connacht hit new Roscommon Hunt

**HIT REPORT - NEW ROSCOMMON HUNT**

10/10/21

After 20 or so years of wildlife persecution in County Roscommon, the old hunt under Oliver Walsh was disbanded in August. What a shame...

A new hunt has supposedly replaced it, and they were out today for their opening meet in Lecarrow town. After receiving a tip-off in advance, we thought we would congratulate them by giving them a visit.

Oliver was here today, leading the pack of hounds and riders out of the village around 12:30pm. They proceeded to hold up the N61 on both sides for 15-20 mins, before jumping into the field and running a few circles, under our watchful eyes.

This was repeated a few times over the course of the day. We lost them for a while at around 14:30 but managed to catch back up to them in time to see them packing up. There was very little noise from the Hounds today, despite some efforts to pick up a scent. We were confident they hadn't killed.

Today was our first outing for this season, and hopefully the first of many. You can help us get out into the field regularly by donating the price of a coffee (Kofi.com) or becoming a patron (Patreon). We covered a good few miles today in the Landy, so any donations for fuel costs would be greatly appreciated.
